Here we are, mid-day on Friday 13th June 2008 and anticipating an overwhelming rejection of the Irish Lisbon Treaty refenendum. What a put down for most Irish politicians and for politicians in Europe as a whole.
We must look at this from the perspective of the situation that nearly all established politicians and instutions were pushing accepting the Lisbon Treaty.
All of the people of Ireland are comitted to being at the heart of the Europe club. So why did the YES MEN supporters tell us that the NO supporters were anti Europe?
What a lie.
