“There are sore losers on the Pat Kenny show already - including Pat himself - who usuaually can hide his anger and disappointment better than he is doing today. An avid No campaigner, Patricia McKenna, who broke ranks with her party leaders, is especially singled out for attack.”

According to Irish Junior minister Conor Lenihan, holding a second referendum on the European Union's reform treaty would be damaging to Ireland, as the result was such a resounding rejection of the Lisbon Treaty...

Were RTE presentators directed to give the advantage to the "YES" side?

Think back to when Gay byrne retired and Gay said that he had no say in how he interviewed Jerry Adams on that famous try and gang up on Jerry Adams night. Remember how Gay Byrne did not shake hands with Jerry Adams but stood unusually back in the midst of the audience and interviewed Jerry adams from there supported by the stupid antics of ...What's his name, you know..wrote Da.

Gay Byrne as everybody thought before that and up to his retirement said on his retirement that he actually had to do the Jerry Adams interview that way. Of course in RTE they all thought that the ambush would be the end for Jerry Adams and Sinn Féin. But RTE and who ever else was involved in the ambush did loose the plot and the whole project did seem to backfire.

The first time I got some respect for Gay Byrne was when he came out public and admitted that he was told how to conduct himself on screen.

It seems that Irish politicians feel inadequet and that they will now loose most of their confidence vis-a-vis perambulating around Europe.

In simple terms, they want to be "One of the boys".

Too bad, Irish politicians wanted to carry an agreement that the people did not want.

It is amazing that even almost all of the opposition banded together to bring in a YES vote in the Lisbon Treaty referendum.

That is simply because that same opposition are looking forward to being in the position of power in Ireland and in command of the offices of control in Ireland.

And that same opposition also wants to walk the corridors of the greater power in Europe, and hold hands with the "Boys"..

Just imagine, Ireland's politicians now have to go to Europe and be embarr...assed as they go about the corridors of power.

That is why Ireland's politicians pushed en masse to vote yes in the Lisbon Treaty referendum in Ireland on 12th June 2008.
