It is the politicians that are of course. The people of Ireland have spoken. Now politicians go and do what your people have told you to do. That is what you were elected for. You were not elected to go and do just what ever you want to do for youeself.

For example Rory Quinn speaking with Rodney Rice on Saturday Review on Saturday 21th June 2008. What is the reason that Rory Quinn had for saying that Germany did not allow Referenda “for very good reason…”?

All you want to do is keep asking the people that same question until, they give you the answer that you want. If we have a second Referendum Lisbon and the people vote “NO” will you want to hold a third Referendum Lisbon?

Why do the Isish politicians not tell the other European countries to hold Referenda as to the problem. Why do Irish politicians not talk up for the Irish cause? It seems that some other nationality politicians within Europe have more talk of support for the Irish Referendum Lisbon decision.

Are we Irish going to be blackmailed into accepting an unjust result. all these years since Ireland joined Europe, we had the right to oppose various changes to the European project. Are we now being told that that right was only a mirage. Now that we have said NO, are we going to see that it was all trickery.

Was the right to say NO in Europe, actually never there at all?

Irish politicians are still not listening to us. The Irish politicians and many others are still going on about making progress along the same road. They are still thinking that we can alter a couple of points and acquire another couple of “assurances” which would amount to nothing in the long run and then go and vote YES.

These politicians will do anything to ram this Lisbon Treaty through against the will of the Irish people.

What people are not appreciating is that we did make progress.

When was that?

That was when the Irish people after being asked for their decision went out on Friday June 13th 2008 and “Exercised their constitutional franchise” according to Enda Kenny, and voted a resounding NO.

That was real progress in the name of a better Europe. It was the wishes of the majority of the people of Ireland that won out. Now let us go and ratify the “NO” decision.

Avril Doyle said on Drive Time RTE 18.06.08.17.35 that there was great respect right accross Europe for the Irish decision to vote against the Lisbon Treaty. Why therefore is there not such a respect from our own Irish politicians at home and abroad. Indeed the Irish politicians only want to railroad the Irish into a ratified Lisbon Treaty. Irish politicians are suffering from chronic inferiority complex. They just cannot imagine not being one of the boys.

Because Ireland’s Supreme Court laid down in the 1987 Crotty case that sovereignty in Ireland rests with the Irish people and that only they can surrender sovereignty to the EU by referendum, or refuse to surrender it, as the case might be. The purpose of the Lisbon referendum would be to change the Irish Constitution so as to enable the State to accede to the new European Union which Lisbon would establish and to make the Constitution and laws of this new EU superior to the Irish Constitution and laws in all areas covered by the Treaty. This is clear from the two key sentences quoted above…

As the days go by since Referendum Lisbon in Ireland, peoples real thoughts are steadily emerging. Of course this is against the backdrop of the initial knee jerk accusations of Irish politicians who, poor them, were embarr assed.

Caught with their trousers down, they must have been in the lavatory in the lead up to Referendum Lisbon. The pro “YES” vote politicians of Europe were hiding and peeping from behind a ditch, trying to look not overly concerned as to the outcome of just another “routine” Irish referendum. They pretend “Ahh yes, let us make some routine progress for the people of Europe.”

It appears to me now more than before, that all the issues in the Lisbon Treaty, who knows how many in all, should have been sorted into a number of different voting issues all on the one day. Guess maybe three seperate groups of issues which could have been passed or not independantly of each other. But why the monster one decision for all issues?

But of course what went wrong was not that the people did not understand the consequences of simple issues such as employment, prostitution, cocaine, military build up, etc as is being suggested by politicians all over. But it was that the Irish people, as of course also are the majority of ordinary citizens of Europe concerned as to what other issues were being sneeked in the under cover of obvious these simple issues.

See how Europe’s, driving force, top politicians still insist on speaking only of these simple issues as being the reasons why the Irish people did not vote “YES”. This is because those same driving force politicians do not want to refer to and draw attention to the underlying issues which I suspect are much more serious to freedom loving Europeans.

The looming “Lisbon Treaty” or “Constitution of Europe” is supposed to be decided upon by the people of Europe and the citizens of each individual member country of Europe. What is happening is the agenda is being pushed by big business interests.

When the next push to get this package the Lisbon Treaty “The Constitutiuon of Europe” through, the people must be ever so much more awake and insist that they be fully educated as to all of it’s implications. If it takes ten or twenty years, so be it. And then vote no again if necessary.

It is not necessary to have so much control over the people of Europe unless there is a hidden agenda.
